Walt Disney Pictures

Starring: Jim Cummings, John Cleese, Craig Ferguson

Summary: Set in the Hundred Acre Wood, Winnie the Pooh and his friends are having another adventure. The day starts out like any other for Pooh. While searching for honey he discovers that Eeyore’s tail has disappeared. Pooh and the others decide to have a contest to find a new tail for Eeyore, with the winner receiving a pot of honey. Of course the thought of honey sends Pooh into a daydream where the whole world is made of honey. Eventually the gang finds Eeyore’s tail and Pooh finally gets his honey.

I’ve been a huge fan of Winnie the Pooh my whole life, so I’ve been looking forward to seeing this movie since I heard it was coming out. Jim Cummings has been the voice of Winnie the Pooh for over 20 years, but there are new additions to the voice cast. John Cleese does a great job as the narrator and Craig Ferguson is charming as Owl. My favorite addition to the movie is Zooey Deschanel’s velvety voice singing the main theme song, and yes I sang along in the theater.

Trivia: The character of Eeyore has been voiced by Peter Cullen since 1989. Peter Cullen is also the voice Optimus Prime from Transformers.

Rated: G – Appropriate for all ages.
