A few weeks ago I told you about how my husband and I are expecting a baby in November 2017! I'm so excited because today I get to hear my baby's heartbeat for the first time!

I honestly didn't think I'd ever be this excited to hear a heartbeat, because after all, it's just a noise, right?! WRONG! To me, it's kind of like the first time you actually realize there's a little guy or gal growing in there. It's more validation, because right now I'm just relying on a blood test that says I'm pregnant. However, hearing the heartbeat today will make it seem all the more real when up until now it has seemed surreal.

Some people think that you can tell the baby's gender based on how fast or slow the heart beats. To all of my moms and dads out there, was the heartbeat an accurate indication of your baby's gender?
