ST. CLOUD -- Over 500 people lined up at St. Cloud Apollo High School this morning (Sunday) for the Walk MS: Christopher and Banks St. Cloud Walk 2016. 

The walk features a choice of either a one mile or three mile walk path and all proceeds go toward research and program services for multiple sclerosis.

Community walk coordinator Nicole Spier says they expect to raise nearly $65,000 from the St. Cloud walk.

Walkers can make teams or walk by themselves team captain of the High Steppers Debbie Witte has been battling MS for years.

"It's such as good event for people to get involved in and if there is any type of cure down the way we're hoping it will happen." --Witte

Witte formed her team back in 2001 and it has since grown to about 40 people.

St. Cloud has been hosting an MS walk for over 30 years.
