Stealing hotel towels is nothing new. Believe it or not, hotels lose up to $50,000 per year on stuff that gets stolen out of the rooms. A company in Miami called Linen Tracking Technology hopes to stop that. They've created a tiny, inexpensive chip that hotels can put in their towels, robes and other items.

According to the company, hotels probably won't call the cops if you steal the towels or other items, but will be able to track them down and either ask for them back or charge you for them.
