ST. CLOUD -- A Holiday classic is coming to the Paramount Theatre stage this weekend.

"It's A Wonderful Life" is a classic Christmas story about a man named George Bailey who finds out his life has meaning, and he has touched so many lives.

"George is one of those characters who everybody knows someone like him or feel they are like him themselves."

Chris Byrd plays George Bailey in the show. He says the performance reminds everyone the true meaning of the holiday season.

"There's a lot of negativity and bad things that happen to one another, but I think this story brings back to what's really important in life."

The show is a first ever performance put on by GREAT Theatre. Director Aimee Miron says while the script is the same as the iconic movie, there is some GREAT Theatre touches thrown in.

"We have the bones of this beautiful story, but we are presenting it in a live theatre setting so we get to add all kinds of different things the movie doesn't have."

Tickets for It's A Wonderful Life are $18 for students and $28 for adults and can be found at the Paramount Theatre box office.

The show runs Friday and Saturday starting at 7:30 p.m. and Sunday at 2:00 p.m. through December 3rd.
