HAY LAAAADY! MDA Telethon Goes On Without Jerry
A shortened version of the annual MDA Labor Day Telethon will be without Jerry, and not on Labor Day. The 85-year-old Lewis, who has been in poor health and announced earlier this year he would not host, had planned on a pre-recorded performance of his signature song "You'll Never Walk Alone," but that was called off as his condition worsened.
Instead of the usual 21-plus hour star-studded extravaganza, a six-hour version will air Sunday from 6 p.m. to Midnight in each time zone. Celebrities slated to appear Celine Dion, Jennifer Lopez, Darius Rucker, Martina McBride, Lady Antebellum, Richie Sambora and Jordin Sparks.
As always you can make your donations online or call in- 888-HELP-MDA
