Oh yes....You've seen this light. Do you remember where?

Could it be...THE DENTIST'S OFFICE!

I'm probably like many of you.  I don't particularly look forward to getting a root canal. I thought I would entertain myself taking pictures of all of the things around the Dentists office while I waited my turn.  Look at all this stuff!!!!.    Honestly...I didn't really look at the details when I took this picture.  I just took a picture of the tray, and thought I'd take a good look at the items ON the tray AFTER  I was done.

Now I have to say....Everyone I've ever talked to "dreads" a root canal.  Just to set your paranoid minds at ease...I honestly didn't feel anything.  Nothing at all.  And...Yes.  I was very awake during the whole procedure.

Dr. Droll (which I think is hilarious, because his name could have easily been Dr. Drill), did a fantastic job making sure that my mouth was numb, numb, numb.  I figured if I wouldn't feel anything, I didn't need any gas to make me feel all goofy.  So I climbed up in this lovely throne and away we went to root canal land.

Dr. Droll and his Assistant showed me the picture of what they were going to be working on, and then another similar xray when I was done, to show me what they had done.  Oh by the way...This was my second root canal in two weeks,  so I was beginning to feel right at home. Thus...the dental photo shoot.  How many people come to the dentist and take pictures of the whole event?

My favorite part of my trip to the Dentist was watching the squirrels outside the window. This one looks close enough to touch!   For you, this might have been a dreaded day of torture and pain....But...FOR ME?   It was the end of a three week ordeal of needing two root canals to stop that terrible toothache pain.  I'm not kidding...I think I can handle childbirth better than a toothache like that.   I'm just sayin'!

My point of this whole story... Don't dread going to the professional who can eliminate your tooth pain.   I had TWO root canals in less than 14 days from each other.  I feel so much better and I'm so thankful that there are people that actually WANT to do this for a living.  I LOVE YOU DR. DROLL.     (Only in the best of dental patient ways.)
