Have Award Shows Become Too Political? [VOTE]

The 61st Annual Grammy Awards is this Sunday, Feb. 10 at 7 p.m. local time. You can watch it on CBS. Some of your favorite musicians and songwriters are up for major awards!

I need to make a confession...I'm sick of award shows. It's not the star's fault. It's politics. Everything has become so political that I don't even look forward to music's biggest night anymore.

I used to get excited to watch the Red Carpet pre-show where celebrities would arrive wearing outrageous ballgowns, dolled up with the most expensive diamonds in the world. It was fun! I'd dream of what my Grammy Award dress would look like if I were ever lucky enough to attend the award show. I'd make my own Grammy Award predictions and see how they compared to the award results.

Sadly, I've become a little jaded. I don't enjoy them like I used to. I wish award shows could be a place where we escape politics and social issues.

But, I'll still be watching the Grammy's this weekend. Do you still enjoy award shows or have they become too political?
