Most businesses think that it's more important to make big profits, rather than keep happy employees. But most businesses are making a huge mistake by keeping that mindset. The fact is, happy employees make bigger profits. Way bigger! The question: What can businesses do to keep their employees happy?
Many business owners think that employees need more money to be happy. Many business think that employees are expecting raises. Although this might be what they want, they don't necessarily HAVE to have a raise to be happy. What business owners need to do is keep their promises and show compassion for their employees. So if you promised your employees a pay raise, give it to them. If you promised them things to help them be more efficient at their job, follow through with your promises.  Find what’s important to your employees and provide it to them.

If your company is not doing well, you need to share information with your employees. This will prevent employees from feeling resentful. The last thing you want is employees feeling like they’re being taken advantage of. Showing compassion to your employees , is basically showing respect and appreciation for what they do.

Finally...90% of employees are willing to consider changing jobs and unsatisfied employees are 11 times more likely to move to a new organization in the next year, if they don't get some sort of job satisfaction...After all...who wants to live a meaningless life? We spend so much of our time at work that we need to feel it's worthwhile.
