The NFL preseason begins tonight and as a huge football fan, I'm pretty excited. What I'm not excited for is the fact that for women only, bag restrictions go into place. Here are a few of my thoughts about that.

The preseason is here! The games are meaningless but who cares? It's football time! I usually try and hit up a game or two, but I think I'm going to skip it this year.

In the off season, the NFL decided to restrict what fans can bring into the games. Not just fans, it's only for their female fans.

Female fans are no longer allowed to bring in purses, handbags, fanny packs or diaper bags. You now have to bring your things to the game in a clear plastic bag. They will sell you a bag for about $20, you can bring things in a Ziploc bag TSA style, or you can bring a very small clutch bag no bigger than your hand.

Not only in the off season did the NFL decide on these stupid rules, there were 31 players arrested; including one for murder.

New England Patriots Tight End Aaron Hernandez had his whole life ahead of him and it looks like he completely blew it because he was arrested in June for his alleged role in the murder of another football player, Odin Lloyd.

Thirty other players also got cuffed and stuffed since the clock ran out at the Super Bowl February 3.

Al Netter of the 49ers and seven other players were arrested for DUI and DWI. J'Marcus Webb of the Chicago Bears and three others were arrested for drug posession. Da'Quaan Bowers of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and five others were arrested for weapons violations. Others were arrested for assault, resisting an officer, soliciting prostitutes and it wasn't only Hernandez arrested for murder. Ausar Walcott of the Cleveland Browns was also arrested for attempted murder.

So, the NFL spends all of this money trying to make football female friendly, chasing female fans to try and get them to buy jerseys, jackets, pajamas and the like, but then turns around and tells them that you can't bring your kids to the game if they still need a diaper bag. Not saying that an infant belongs at a loud professional football game, but even kids who are 7 years old need a little extra stuff, and anyone who is a parent knows that it's not going to fit in a Ziploc bag.

I'm sorry, but when Aunt Flo comes to town, the whole world doesn't need to know about it because I have to carry my tampons in a clear plastic bag. No thank you.

So, in summation: maybe the NFL needs to worry a little more about their players killing people, driving drunk, beating their kids and beating their wives before they label all of their female fans as terrorists.

What do you think about the new restrictions?
