Hailee Steinfeld Loves Herself and In The Mix With HK Loves Her

Hailee Steinfeld is a proven actress with an Oscar nomination under her belt for her teen role in True Grit. She has several other movies coming out this year and nailed her vocals in Pitch Perfect 2  but what has my attention is her first original single Love Myself.

Steinfeld said of her music career vs acting: ”Music is the most moving art form. It moves in such a personal way. There’s something about the control you have --- I love it”. Her new debut single has been described as a self –empowerment song that is a cross between Gloria Gaynor’s I Will Survive and Divinyls’ I Touch Myself. Hailee says “the song is about taking care of yourself, whether that means physically, emotionally or with material things. There’s a power in being able to provide for yourself. Being able to say, I love myself”.
