A mysterious villain kidnaps a former race-car driver's wife and in this thriller it's a race against time.

Brent Magna (Ethan Hawke) has his back against the wall and the clock when he commanders a young woman's car and both are in the high-speed race of her life s they race against time.

A late night car chase through the streets of Sofia, Bulgaria and we all love a good car chase but good luck finding one in this film all the chase scenes are a bit nauseating with rapid succession of very brief cuts. It's literally impossible to understand what's going on.  Most of the scenes could have been more impressive if they used a wide angle lens and held a longer frame.

Parental guide: brief kissing in the film, some profanity, through some of the flashback scenes there are signs of violence, as well as; part of the car chase scenes, uses of alcohol and the only reference to drugs is the use of chloroform.

This action, crime thriller stars Ethan Hawke, Selena Gomez and Jon Voight and directed by Courtney Soloman, the film runs 90 minutes and is rated, 'PG-13'.

I give the film a 2 out of 5, Selena Gomez needs to stick to singing or roles with Disney, she is way out of her league in this type film. The first half is nothing but characters bickering which was highly annoying, the chase scenes are visually unwatchable, ther's no humor and it's unnecessarily noisy, bottom line is the plot is mediocre at best.

Now showing at The Parkwood Cinemas in Waite Park (click on the link for showtimes).
