SONGS ABOUT MINNESOTA

Trisha Yearwood has always been one of my favorite country music artists out there. She has a song called "On A Bus To St. Cloud," and I perform it at just about every show I do. I love the Minnesota reference about being at a bus stop with the snow falling all around and thinking you see someone that you once loved. It has many different meanings. Perhaps it's someone that passed; perhaps it is a long lost love...but it is a beautiful song, and it's not that often you hear Minnesota locations mentioned in country songs. Watch the video below. It's a lovely song that gives me chills every time I hear it.

NEW SONG WITH MINNESOTA CONNECTIONS

Well now her famous husband Garth Brooks has released a song with Minnesota ties, and according to the article from CBSNews.com, the song is not only a beautiful song, but a true story.

You can hear a piece of the song at around 15:30 in the video below.

THE SONG

The song is called, 'St. Paul/Minneapolis - A True Story,' and is about a random encounter with a woman in Minneapolis/St. Paul. He sings a little bit of the song and says it was one of the coolest encounters he's ever had, and that he wishes he could run into her again because it was so inspiring.

The song is one of many on his newly released album called 'Time Traveler' and is available at Bass Pro shops and at Cabela's. It is a 7-disc limited series boxed set, just in time for the holidays.
