Freeport Fire Burns Family Home

FREEPORT - A house fire engulfed an entire family home shortly after midnight today (Saturday).

Stearns County Sheriff John Sanner says the fire happened at 26043 430th Street in Millwood Township, near Freeport.

Forty-four-year-old Roxanne Schlieman along with her three children and spouse made it out of the burning house safely without getting hurt.

Both the house and attached garage caught fire. The fire did spread to an attached residence, both are a total loss.

Authorities believe the fire was caused by a wood boiler in the attached garage.
