Flash Flood Watch For Central Minnesota Continues Through Monday [UPDATED]
A flash flood watch has been extended until Monday (6/2) afternoon for most of southern and central Minnesota. Since Saturday, rainfall totals have exceeded 3-5 inches in central Minnesota. The National Weather Service confirms 5-7 inches fell in a small area near Sauk Centre.
According to The National Weather Service, we officially had 1.68 inches of rain yesterday (Saturday) at the St. Cloud Regional Airport. It’s a record for the date.
Additional rain with 2-4 inches is expected through Monday morning. The additional rain could lead to flooding throughout parts of Minnesota. We'll keep you posted with the latest information.
