At long last, our national nightmare is over: Universal and Focus Features have found their leads for the upcoming adaptation of '50 Shades of Grey.' Dakota Johnson of 'The Social Network' has been cast as Anastasia Steele, the college student who enters into a dominant/submissive relationship with enigmatic businessman Christian Grey because fairy tales do come true, or something. Charlie Hunnam of 'Pacific Rim' and 'Sons of Anarchy' will play Christian.

'50 Shades of Grey' author E.L. James announced that Johnson, who worked with producers Michael De Luca and Dana Brunetti on 'The Social Network,' has been cast as Anastasia Steele, the main character in the saucy "mommy porn" book '50 Shades of Grey.' Johnson has also starred in '21 Jump Street,' 'The Five-Year Engagement,' and the short-lived sitcom 'Ben and Kate.' She will also appear in the upcoming 'Need for Speed' alongside Aaron Paul. This is a dream come true for Johnson -- if she's ever wanted to play an emotionally stunted, technophobic college girl who gets mixed up in a dominant/submissive relationship with a rich guy who has serious mommy issues ... but he also has a helicopter!

Meanwhile, James also confirmed via Twitter that Charlie Hunnam will play the role of millionaire businessman and helicopter enthusiast Christian Grey.

'50 Shades of Grey,' based on the baffling hit book trilogy, is being directed by Sam Taylor-Johnson (Aaron Taylor-Johnson's wife) with a screenplay by Kelly Marcel. Christian Grey has yet to be cast, which means your mom hasn't been sleeping very well lately. Give her a call.
