I’m always fascinated by how much celebrities make. Are they worthy of the millions they get each year? Forbes put out their annual Celebrity 100 List, ranking the celebs in order of how much they earned, visibility, social media presence and other factors.

Topping the list is Jennifer Lopez. She earned $52 Million over the past year, which is nowhere near the highest for a celebrity.  But, she’s all over the place,  especially thanks to “American Idol”.

Orpah came in second and the Biebs came in third. It’s pretty hard to avoid his face. A company even cloned his DNA and are selling pendants to Justin Bieber fans.

Will she be back for the next season of “American Idol” or will she take her money and run? E! Online is reporting that she will not return for a third season as a judge. Sources say she is too busy, wants to free up time for her kids, and she will be on tour with Enrique Iglesias when the next casting for AI stats. AI producer Nigel Lythgoe had this to say yesterday:

“We want her back.  I want her back . . . [but] It’s a business.  She has to weigh everything.  I know she’s gotten lots of offers to do movies and other things.”

So, let the rumors start on who will replace Jennifer. I say bring back Paula!!!!! Who do you think should be a judge on American Idol?

The music industry is rocking the Forbes Celebrity 100 list with six singers in the top ten. The list which is compiled of film and TV actors, models, athletes, authors, TV personalities, musicians and comedians is based on money and fame. Numero uno on this years top 100 is Jennifer Lopez. She has never even smelled the bottom of this list in the past but her reincarnation of fame has catapulted her to the top of the Celebrity 100. With her gig on American Idol, media attention from her split with Marc Anthony (that’s sad), endorsements deals with L’Oreal and Gillette, a clothing line at Kohl’s, a top selling fragrance and hit records Miss Lopez is BACK with a vengeance!

J.Lo is not only rocking the Forbes Celebrity 100, her new hit “Dance Again” with Pitbull will be blowin up on “In The Mix with HK” this weekend. The Queen of Disco has died.

Celebrity gossip website TMZ is reporting that Disco Queen Donna Summer has died following a battle with cancer. I hadn’t heard about her being sick and the more people I talk to, I find out they didn’t know, either. TMZ’s sources are apparently saying that she was trying to keep quiet about the disease and was reportedly working on another album to be released later on this year.

Donna was best known for her hits Last Dance, Hot Stuff, Bad Girls and She Works Hard for the Money, which was actually written about a bathroom attendant at a posh Beverly Hills hotel.

Donna Summer released 18 albums, scored four Billboard number one hits in a 13 month period, had 12 Grammy Award nominations and five Grammys to her name.

Other details surrounding her death are not known at this time. Donna was 63.

The Saint Paul Saints just have too much fun. Yesterday they announced their new mascots to kick off the 2012 baseball season and they are a match made in pig heaven. The Saints have the whole romantic story on their website,

Their eyes met across the sty. The courtship began. Now these two love birds are ready to take their relationship to the next level as they spend an entire season at Midway Stadium. The St. Paul Saints are proud to announce the engagement of Kim LARDashian and Kris HAMphries.

The Saints revealed the names at the World’s Largest Game of Catch Wednesday in downtown St. Paul. The name was selected out of over 1,000 entries in the Name the Pig Contest conducted by the Saints and the St. Paul Pioneer Press at twincities.com. The winning entry was submitted by Heather Egli of St. Anthony Village. She receives a prize pack from the Saints, along with being honored at a Saints game during the season-opening homestand May 17-20.

When not at Midway Stadium this season Lardashian and Hamphries will spend the summer at Hamphries’ Minnesota home. The courtship has lasted a few months even after Lardashian was linked to several male celebrities like Kanye Wurst and Hambriel Aubry. Lardashian started showing up at several of Hamphries pig chase events and the two began sharing slop on quiet evenings alone. During this past winter the couple began going out in public and were photographed by the piggyrazzi. They had their lives chronicled on the hit reality show “Keeping Up With the Lardashians” and Hamphries finally proposed.

A wedding date will be set at a separate time, but in a joint statement Lardashian and Hamphries said their love is pure and they plan on being together for not only the 2012 Saints season, but for many seasons to come. The Saints season lasts 110 days and many believe they will be the longest lasting pigs in Saints history.

“These two pigs are simply meant to be together” said Saints Executive Vice President/General Manager Derek Sharrer. “We knew from the moment we saw them that they, as a couple, would become our four-legged mascots. The reality is they’re inseparable. ”

It is the first time in the Saints 20 season history that they will have two different pigs. The role of the pigs is to deliver baseballs to the umpires, entertain the crowd and take photos with their adoring fans.

Tickets for Saints home games are $5 for general admission, $8 for outfield reserved and $12 for infield reserved. Tickets purchased on the Day of the Game are an additional $1 per ticket. Children under the age of 14 and seniors 65 and older receive $1 off the admission price. Children under 2 that don’t require a seat are free.

The regular season begins today and tickets for all Saints exhibition and regular season home games are available now in person at the Saints Box Office, by phone at 651-644-6659 or online at saintsbaseball.com.

You think you had a bad day? Imagine coming home and finding all of your things in your front yard and profanities spray painted all over your car.  It happened in Wisconsin. 

The famous saying goes, “Hell hath no fury like a woman scorned” and one woman in Superior, Wisconsin took that to heart and what she did literally stopped traffic.

Now, I’ve never been divorced, but I’ve heard stories that it can get downright nasty. Apparently this woman was so angry at her ex-husband, she took everything he owned and threw it out in the front yard. The junk pile was also adorned with “FREE” signs so passersby could just take what they wanted. Not only were all of his belongings in the front yard, she also took spray paint to his black SUV and scrawled the word “cheater” all down the passenger side and other vulgarities on the exterior of the vehicle.

Of course with social media the way it is nowadays word spreads even more quickly than it did before and this spectacle generated so much buzz around town, people literally drove to the home to gawk and take pictures. The fine men and women of the Superior Police Department thought that it was such a hazardous situation, they towed the SUV away. While authorities say that if someone wants to spray paint a vehicle in their front yard, there is no law against doing so, but it generated such a traffic hazard, they had no choice.

That said, we should probably cut this kid some slack for guessing the answer to this puzzle was “Magic Hand” since that’s probably how he honestly feels about his overworked northern appendage.

Pat Sajak’s reaction to this young fellow not producing the proper response is priceless (WTF is a fand?) and we should give the kid a round of “magic hands” for not making a break for it once he realized a 2^nd grader could have solved that puzzle.

We’re still going to say this isn’t the worst game show fail we’ve ever seen. THIS IS the worst we’ve ever seen.

Weather warnings, AMBER Alerts and national emergency informational messages will be coming soon to a smart phone near you. 

With more smart phones in use than there are Americans, the United States Government and major wireless carriers have teamed up to keep you safe in severe weather or in the event of a national emergency.

The Wireless Emergency Alert service is a collaboration between the major wireless carriers (which covers 97 percent of people in the U.S.), the FCC, FEMA, Homeland Security and the National Weather Service, among others. It is also a free service for all mobile phone users in the country and there is no need to sign up. It’s already on your phone. Alerts are based on your location and will be issued in the event of a potentially life threatening situation like a tornado or a flood, so even if you’re traveling, you will still be able to stay safe. So, how will they know that I’m in the path of a tornado in Kansas, even though your phone is registered to Cold Spring? Well, as long as your phone is turned on, your signal will “ping” off of the nearest tower so they know where you are and if you’re in the path of an oncoming tornado. But they’re not just for tornadoes. Flash floods, hurricanes, dust storms, ice storms and blizzards are just a few of the many weather conditions that will be covered. The text messages will tell you what the situation is and direct you to take shelter and seek more information from the Internet, NOAA Weather Radio, tune in to local radio or local broadcast television. The messages will typically be less than 90 characters.

There are apps such as WeatherBug and The Weather Channel that will alert you to severe weather, but this is the first time the federal government has been involved and it’s also the first time the alerts have been location based without the user having to manually switch their location.

AMBER Alerts and Presidential addresses have also never been available before on mobile devices, but the majority of the alerts will be weather related, however, National Weather Service Spokesman Chris Vaccaro says that this will be a great tool to aid in rapid notification, but is asking users to not rely solely on the mobile alerts to keep them informed. He urges everyone to invest in a battery operated NOAA Weather Radio. They’re available for about $30. NOAA Weather Radios are portable and programmable and they will wake you up if severe weather strikes at night.

Mobile users will be able to opt out of weather alerts and AMBER Alerts, but not national emergencies. Want to know more? Click HERE.

Us girls are always getting gawked at when we’re trying to get our tan on at the beach, so when the rugby team from St Kilda, Australia needed to take an icy swim the other day, we got to return the favor.

Apparently the cold works wonders on helping repair an athlete’s muscles, which is why hotties Lenny Hayes, Rhys Stanley and the rest of the boys were freezing their nips off. Who knew, right? As tough as these guys are, you’ll get a kick out of them giggling and bouncing around in the waves.

On tonight’s (May 16) episode of the penultimate week of Season 11 of ‘American Idol,’ the final 3 — Joshua Ledet, Phillip Phillips and Jessica Sanchez — sang a trio of songs for three rounds of competition. One was chosen by the judges, one by the contestants themselves and one by series mentor and Interscope Records chief Jimmy Iovine. It was a whole lot of singing with a lot on the line, as the final two competitors will be determined in 24 hours. Hello, nail biting situation!

Here’s PopCrush’s recap on how the ep shook down.

JOSHUA LEDET:

Everything he did tonight was good and Gospel-flavored. He leaves it all on the stage, with his natural ability to sing and to perform. He adds touches, like ripping off his jacket and his inner ear monitors. He’s a total package. We’d be shocked if he goes home. Seriously.

Judge’s Choice: He slayed Etta James’ ‘I’d Rather Go Blind,’ nailing every single sweet spot. Out of 70,000 contestants, there is only one ‘Idol’ and he sang like he was the one. Hard to beat, for sure.

Personal Choice: He showed us he can do subdued with his soulful rendition of The Beatles‘ ‘Imagine.’

Jimmy Iovine’s Choice: Mary J. Blige‘s ‘No More Drama’ is the perfect marriage of R&B and church, and since J. Lo is like the male Mary J., the song played to all his strengths. He sang with a Gospel fire and came alive on the stage, ripping off that jacket.

JESSICA SANCHEZ:

She is going to have a long career in music since she has such a money voice. Her youth, though, make us think now is not the right time for her. That said, she continues to rack up flawless performances that are predictable. When she gets a little more life lived in her, that “edge” we desire will manifest itself. Overall, though, Bebe Chez can sing her patoot off and we predict massive things for her.

Judge’s Choice: The belter and last female standing offered up a beautifully refined rendition of Mariah Carey‘s ‘My All.’ She showed restraint and a quiet tenderness. We can’t deny it was pretty, even though it lacked any sort of edge.

Personal Choice: She went the ballad route with Aerosmith‘s ‘I Don’t Want to Miss a Thing.’ She hit all the notes but it wasn’t anything particularly moving. She struggles to “connect,” despite performing in flawless fashion.

Jimmy Iovine’s Choice: The Jackson 5′s ‘I’ll Be There’ was her Iovine selection and she once again delivered a quality rendition and showed off a soulful tone. It lacked that “WOW! OMG!” moment.

PHILLIP PHILLIPS:

The girls love him, and he is artistic, yet does his own thing without catering to anyone else. He also goes off the melody of his songs and twists them to create something unique. But tonight, for his final performance, he stuck to the melody and had the moment. If he’s not in the finals, it’ll be criminal.

Judge’s Choice: He owned the melody of Madcon’s ‘Beggin’,’ a song you likely never heard. While the DMB comparisons haunt the double P, he is a true artist and the way he handled the mid-section of the song had us buying what he was selling. Steven Tyler said once he writes his own songs, he’ll be a new age Boss, as in Bruce Springsteen. HUGE compliment.

Personal Choice: He sang Matchbox 20′s ‘Disease,’ giving it a bit of a funky, jazzy feel. Only Phillip Phillips can turn radio rock into something totally fresh and new. However, the judges hated it.

Jimmy Iovine’s Choice: The song has a great melody and an emotional and romantic timbre, but the masculine quality was the reason that Iovine chose Bob Seger‘s ‘We’ve Got Tonight.’ It played to PP’s male and female fanbase. We can sum it up in one simple word: SWOOOOOOOOON! Dressed in black and singing while seated, Phillips showed us a tender, leading man side. His voice changed shape and he ventured into new territory. The ending where he harmonized with the choir? We got goosies, J. Lo. 

Tune in tomorrow night (May 17) at 8PM on FOX to find who the Top 2 will be. PopCrush has been struggling with our prediction, but we’re going to thinking the final will feature Joshua Ledet vs. Phillip Phillips.

I LOVE Ellen DeGeneres! She is the reason why I don’t take naps in the afternoon! She seems like a celebrity that would give you the shoes she was wearing if your heels were killing your feet. Happy to announce that she is receiving the Mark Twain Prize for American Humor in October. Without skipping a beat Ellen issued a statement;

“To get the same award that has been given to people like Bill Cosby, Tina Fey and Will Ferrell, it really makes me wonder . . . why didn’t I get this sooner?”

The Mark Twain Humor award has been around since 1998. Other recipients include: Richard Pryor,  Whoopi Goldberg, Bob Newhart, Steve Martin, Billy Crystal, George Carlin, and others.  I believe Ellen is very deserving of this award!

In other Ellen news, her and Portia just bought a home that was once owned by one of the co-creators of “Will & Grace.” It’s actually where they got married. They sold their previous Beverly Hills mansion to Ryan Seacrest, who was at their wedding! And if you are still following along, they sold the home Ryan bought because they also just paid $12 Million for a beachfront home in Malibu from Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie. In conclusion, I have learned that it doesn’t matter who you have for a Realtor in Hollywood, as long as you have famous friends with great property, it’s yours if you want it!

Now I’m going to go back to my room in the back of a house and dream of winning the lottery!

It’s no secret that certain kinds of cribs — especially the drop-side variety — can pose a danger to your children. But a new report by the Center for Disease Control and Prevention says that toys, bumpers and blankets kept in cribs can be hazardous, as well.

According to the CDC, cases of infant suffocation are on the rise, and it blames the accessories that parents typically use along with cribs. In fact, doctors say, babies under the age of one could easily suffocate if a crib product cuts off their flow of air.

In 2009 alone, the CDC says that 665 babies died from “accidental suffocation of strangulation while in bed.” The American Academy of Pediatrics has warned that bumpers, for example, can be dangerous and should never be used. In Chicago, stores are banned from selling them altogether.

“The manufacturers should stop making the bumpers, which really have no place in a baby’s crib and no place, therefore, ever,” said Dr. Eileen Tyrala, medical director of Cribs for Kids.

And yet, crib accessories are still widely available and used by many parents. Linda Woody of the Juvenile Products Manufacturers Association said that bumpers can actually be beneficial, and prevent head injuries and limb entrapment. Parents should decide what accessories to use for themselves after consulting with a pediatrician, she argued.

“Parents need to make a decision for themselves what items they would like to use inside their crib,” she said. “Parents in concert with their pediatricians and themselves, they know what’s best for their family.”

A lot of people are going green these days, not because it’s the trendy thing to do, it’s what many say we should be doing. I’m going more green around my house, but now here are some ways we can go green at the office and it can start with your coffee.

Coffee Cups – Replace Styrofoam cups with reusable mugs. If just 15 people switched their own mug for the average three disposable cups they use in one day, it would save over 11 thousand cups from being bought and thrown away. It would not only save money, it would save space in our landfills. Speaking of coffee, organically grown, shade grown or fair trade coffee. Fair trade coffee is purchased from farmers who are paid a liveable wage for themselves and their employees. Shade grown coffee is grown under the canopy, so no rainforests were cut down to make room for coffee plants and organic coffee is grown without toxic pesticides that are harmful to humans and the Earth.

Eco-Friendly Office Supplies – Using recycled paper for printing (and print only when you must) plus refillable ink and toner cartridges can save resources and money. Recycled paper uses post-consumer waste and saves trees because it takes a lot of trees and energy to make fresh paper. A lot of retailers are now offering green options for office supplies that are made from reclaimed materials. Those also take less energy and resources to make.

Eco-Friendly Cleaning Supplies – Whether it’s up to the employees to keep their spaces clean, or you have a team come in and do it, try and use green cleaning products wherever possible. There are a lot of affordable and eco-friendly cleaning products on the market now. Fairview Gardens, the Good Earth Food Coop, Coborn’s, Cashwise, Byerly’s and even major retailers like Target and Walmart offer green cleaning options. I’m partial to Watkins, Mrs. Meyers and Seventh Generation.

Set Up Office Recycling – Set up separate bins for paper in the copy room or in shared offices as well as plastics, metal, ink cartridge, cardboard and aluminum recycling in the lunch room. Not only are recycling bins everywhere you look, they’re always filling up because we use them, so when you set up bins in your office, make sure they’re put to use.

One of the actors from Terminator 3 has been reported missing near Los Angeles. 

Actor Nick Stahl, who played John Connor in Terminator 3 and most recently played Marcel Trevino on the ABC series Body of Proof has been reported missing by his wife.

Nick’s wife filed a missing persons report with the LAPD on May 9. Several sources are telling celebrity gossip website TMZ that Nick has been known to hang out in the Skid Row area of Downtown L.A. and friends and family are concerned that he may have gotten into some trouble.

In February, Nick’s wife filed papers that she feared he was using drugs and that drugs may have something to do with his disappearance. His agent is declining to comment.

The closer and closer we get to ‘The Amazing Spider-Man’ premiere, the more we want to see Andrew Garfield take his Spidey suit off. You know he’s completely naked underneath there, right?

More and more clips and photos keep churning out from Columbia Pictures, who can’t help but tease us to death with that one iconic shirtless image of Garfield going in for a make-out session with Emma Stone. But our favorite sneak peek we’ve gotten from the movie so far is the latest (count ‘em) four-minute trailer. Check it out.

While there aren’t any new shirtless moments for him yet, we’re hopeful that it’ll be worth the wait. But for now, we just have to imagine what’s waiting for us underneath all that spandex.

With so many amazing contenders in the ‘Dancing with the Stars‘ semifinals, it was really anyone’s guess who’d leave after Tuesday night’s elimination show.

So which three couples will move on to next week’s big finale?

Hosts Tom Bergeron and Brooke Burke-Charvet, who was nice enough to introduce first-time viewers to her cleavage, kicked off the show by letting the judges choose an encore dance from performance night.

Len announced the honors would go to William and Cheryl’s samba, so the bronzed pair again took to the stage to showcase William’s bouncy backside to a grateful nation.

Then we got a backstage look at what exactly happened to Katherine after she flubbed the end of her second routine on Monday. Apparently a twinge in her back chose to make itself known at an inopportune time, and she was devastated — although it seemed she was more concerned about possibly costing Mark a spot in the finals than she was about herself.

Brooke’s cleavage called Katherine and Mark to the stage to learn their fate, and after they were told they were the first to make it to the finals, they jumped so high it honestly looked like they’d both been launched from ejector seats. Much rejoicing ensued, and we have to say we’re pleased we’ll get to see them next week.

Next up: Derek and Maria, who had a helluva night on Monday. But even though they were at the top of the judges’ leaderboard, they must have fallen short on audience votes because they were the first couple in jeopardy.

Then we got a peek at the upcoming ‘Rock of Ages‘ movie, only live on stage, featuring ‘DWTS’ vet Julianne Hough and the always-amazing Mary J. Blige. It was … well, see for yourself:

Donald and Peta were the next to be told they were in jeopardy, which course meant William and Cheryl moved on to the finals.

And in what many people will probably feel was a really shocking result, Maria and Derek were eliminated, even after getting one perfect score and one near-perfect score on Monday. Yeah, those audience votes do matter. (Is this a good time to say we predicted they’d come in fourth?)

But if Maria was surprised, she sure didn’t let it show. “I learned so many things,” she said about her time on the show. “I learned how strong I was. I learned to persevere.” Classy lady — and as we said, it really could’ve been anyone who went home.

Each weeknight from 8-Midnight I feature up and coming artists or artists we know with new songs being released and I give them the “spotlight.”

Tonight’s ClubMix Spotlight features a group we have been playing but wanted to give the extra spotlight to, Graffiti6.

I had the pleasure of chatting with Jamie Scott tonight, and if you love accents, you will fall in love with Jamie. The two guys that make up Graffiti6 are Jamie and Tommy Danvers. They got together in 2008 in London and have been hitting the music scene all over the world. Currently on tour with Eric Hutchinson supporting  their latest album, Colours. Sometimes we forget that celebrities are just like you and I. Their lives are not always perfect as the pictures show. Sarah Hyland who plays Haley Dunphy on ABC’s “Modern Family,” revealed that she’s been battling kidney disease since she was a little girl.

Sarah, who is now 21, was interviewed for “Seventeen” Magazine and also with ABC News and said that it was her Dad who saved her life.

“You know that family is always going to be there for you no matter what. My dad gave me a freakin’ kidney! I have a second chance at life, not a lot of people get that.”

In the above photo, Sarah credits her boyfriend, Matt Prokop, for being there to help take care of her. (If you watched MF last week, he starred at Ethan.)

“He helps me with my medication and takes me to doctor appointments and all the stuff that I need to do to take care of myself. Any other 21-year-old guy would not be there, I guarantee it.  I am one of the luckiest people in the world to have him be there for me.”

TMZ is reporting that OneRepublic’s drummer has been arrested in Denver, Colorado. 

According to the TMZ reports, OneRepublic drummer Edward Ray Fisher “flipped out” early this morning in quite the destructive rage.

He was taken in to custody and booked after being accused of destruction of private property, disturbing the peace and assault. In the state of Colorado, depending on the severity of his alleged crimes, Eddie is looking at merely a fine to maximum 12 years in prison.

His mug shot looks like he got into a nasty brawl because he’s sporting a bloody gash in his forehead. Eddie is due in court tomorrow morning.

It’s never too late to apologize, Eddie.
