Fallout Boy Frontman Does A Cappella Grammy Medley – Warning Explicit Lyrics

Fall Out Boy singer Patrick Stump has a video clip of him doing a cappella versions of all five songs nominated for this year’s Grammy Award for Record of the Year.
Stump says, “I wanted to kind of see how much (of) a musician I could be with just my voice. Choosing to sing the Grammy nominees started because ‘Nothin’ on You’ was in my head for a week, then ‘Empire State of Mind,’ and I’d seen they were both nominated. The whole thing just kind of came together naturally. I recorded it right around the time they were announced, I showed it to some friends and they were like, ‘Post this!’”
Stump also says that he’s been “blown away” by the reaction the clip has received. The singer has been working on his debut solo album for more than a year, saying in interviews that he was playing all the instruments on the disc, which would feature elements of pop, R&B and folk.
Although tentatively titled Soul Punk and due out in February, there’s been no further news lately on when the disc will arrive or if that is still the title.
The songs nominated for Record Of The Year at the Grammys this year are:
Nothin’ On You
B.o.B Featuring Bruno Mars
Love The Way You Lie
Eminem Featuring Rihanna
F*** You
Cee Lo Green
Empire State Of Mind
Jay-Z & Alicia Keys
Need You Now
Lady Antebellum
