Emily’s Place -Helping Women & Families In Centeral Minnesota

WHAT'S HAPPENING

Saint Emily is the patron saint of single women in the Catholic religion. An opportunity arose to open a transitional housing facility for single women in the St. Cloud area who are homeless or at risk of becoming homeless, so the name "Catholic Charities Emily's Place" seems very fitting.

EMILY'S PLACE WILL BE OPENING THIS MONTH

Emily's Place, which will open this month, and will be the second transitional housing facility in the area. The women will live in a shared community, with  requirements to pay rent, save money for the future, and meet with staff on a regular basis to develop long term stability goals. The ultimate expectation will be for the women to find permanent housing in one year.  All women that live in the home must be alcohol and chemical free. The women must also volunteer monthly, and meet with staff to create short and long term goals.
