Congrats to this week's Teacher of the Week Heather Nathan of Eden Valley-Watkins School in Eden Valley! Heather is a 2nd grade teacher there and was nominated by one of her students -- Zackary -- and his mom.

She has noticed the abilities of individual students and has sought out ways to enhance their learning. She communicates regularly with parents and encourages parent involvement and interaction; she emphasizes and seeks out positive behaviors and rewards the kids individually and as a class.
My second grader came home before Halloween and told me that he suggested to his teacher that she dress up as an angel for Halloween because she is so nice.
We are lucky to have such an amazing teacher to help our children to grow academically and in kindness.
My son knew once he met her last year, that he wanted her for a teacher."

We surprised Heather at the school with some goodies from Concrete Image Hair Salon, Coyote Moon Grille, Great Harvest Bread Company and an award from All-Star Trophy & Awards. Way to go, Heather, and thanks for all the awesome work you do!
