Duluth Girl Attacked by a Musky [Watch]

This is my worst nightmare. A girl in Duluth was with her family this past Wednesday enjoying some time on the water at Island Lake. As they were getting ready to call it a day Maren Kesselhon jumped in the water to cool off one last time when a musky came and grabbed her by the foot! Maren started kicking by instinct as her dad pulled her into the boat, and they rushed her to the hospital. The doctors at St. Luke's Hospital had to stitch up nine separate gashes on Maren's foot and ankle, but she is expected to make a full recovery and continue doing gymnastics in the fall!

There have been rumors that the lake in Central Minnesota my parents have a cabin on has musky in it. I hope those rumors are true, but to be safe, I think I'll stay on top of my kayak when I am out there!
