Dream Theater Concert With The Boys
Thanks to Dave Overlund, in our Sports Department, and some kind folks that I met on Craigslist, I was able to score 4 tickets to see the sold out Dream Theater concert in Burnsville last night.
You might be saying…Hmmm….okay..what’s the big deal? WHO is Dream Theater? What’s so special about Dream Theater is that they’ve been around since the 1980’s, and I wasn’t introduced until my oldest son Drew, became a big fan of theirs when he was just a middle schooler.
Since then, I’ve become a huge fan, and now, so have my younger sons Tanner and Mason. Dream Theater is a band that usually tours internationally. Their musicianship is second to none, and since we are a family of Musicians, it was important for me to get our multigenerational fan base for Dream Theater to that show. I was on a mission. I think this was a once in a lifetime opportunity for my boys, and they had a blast.
Dream Theater put on a three hour show, of lights, video, great music and fun. The venue was so intimate that every seat in the house was perfect. Of course, I didn’t use the seat. The whole crowd stood the entire three hours.
Thanks to Dream Theater for making a trip to Minnesota, and giving my boys a real treat!
