The Queen of Disco has died.

Celebrity gossip website TMZ is reporting that Disco Queen Donna Summer has died following a battle with cancer. I hadn't heard about her being sick and the more people I talk to, I find out they didn't know, either. TMZ's sources are apparently saying that she was trying to keep quiet about the disease and was reportedly working on another album to be released later on this year.

Donna was best known for her hits Last Dance, Hot Stuff, Bad Girls and She Works Hard for the Money, which was actually written about a bathroom attendant at a posh Beverly Hills hotel.

Donna Summer released 18 albums, scored four Billboard number one hits in a 13 month period, had 12 Grammy Award nominations and five Grammys to her name.

Other details surrounding her death are not known at this time. Donna was 63.
