Distracted Driving Crackdown Starts Today

Do you text while driving? Never a good idea. In fact, it's illegal in Minnesota to read, compose or send texts/emails and access the web while driving. That includes at a stoplight or stopped in traffic. And now they're cracking down on offenders.

400 agencies are taking part in a 10 day campaign to step up distracted driving enforcement. Distracted driving accounts for nearly 60 fatalities and 8,000 injuries each year. More statistics can be found here.
