The Vikings are one step closer and well on their way to becoming the first NFL team to play the Super Bowl game at home.

Across the country, people are calling their Sunday night win over the Saints the "Minneapolis Miracle." And aptly so. There may be more to those two words than people realize.

Adversity has plagued the Vikes all season long -- first- and second-string quarterbacks Teddy Bridgewater and Sam Bradford both were out or went out with knee injuries. Running back Dalvin Cook also suffered a knee injury with a torn ACL. It seemed to many that all hope was lost, and it would be another disappointing season for fans of the purple and gold.

And yet, against all odds, the Vikings kept winning. Players like Case Keenum, Adam Thielen and Stefon Diggs stepped in to do their part. And while it takes a whole team to win, there may have been more at play than just blood, sweat and tears.

These three men have more in common than just the jersey they wear -- they're all men of unabashed faith.

In an interview after Sunday's win, backup QB Case Keenum stated that the win was only the third best moment of his life, falling behind giving his life to Jesus Christ and marrying his wife.

Keenum's twitter bio simply says "Isaiah 40:31," which in full reads:

But those who hope in the Lord
    will renew their strength.
They will soar on wings like eagles;
they will run and not grow weary,
they will walk and not be faint.

I give all the glory to God, I give Him the praise on this great Sunday...All I can say is, give it to God, 'cause without Him nothing is possible, and I wouldn't be here...

He also tweeted:

And in the days just before:

Jeremiah 29:11 reads,

For I know the plans I have for you,' declares the Lord, 'plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.'

Adam Thielen was quoted as saying,

That was God. That play right there was God.”

Adam's Twitter bio reads, "God 1st, Husband, Dad, Current Minnesota Viking #19, Former WR for MSU Mankato, from Detroit Lakes, MN."

Could faith have played a role in the Vikings win Sunday? Maybe. Say what you will, but faith is clearly very real to these three men and a big part of their game. Maybe there is something more to it...
