Corey Monteith may play a High Schooler Finn Hudson on "Glee," but Corey says his High School days were nothing like his characters.

Corey, who is now 29, says his high school days were pretty messed up. He skipped school, drank, and even smoked pot all by the age of 13. By 16, he was doing other drugs and even dropped out of school. By 19, he was in rehab, even though that was unsuccessful. He even stole a big amount of money from a family member who gave him an ultimatum: Get clean or face robbery charges.

Corey admits he was out of control!

"Anything and everything, as much as possible.  I had a serious problem. I don't want kids to think it's okay to drop out of school and get high, and they'll be famous actors, too . . . But for those people who might give up:  Get real about what you want and go after it."

No on is perfect in my eyes. We are all guilty of making mistakes. Some are worse than others. To me, it's what we do after we admit we were wrong that counts. If you fall down, get back up and try and not make the same mistake twice. And asking for help may be hard, but no one who cares about you will look down on you. That's my humble opinion anyway.
