A colonoscopy may seem like an odd place to pull a practical joke, but that's what makes it so effective.

YouTuber Jack Vale teamed up with the Colon Cancer Alliance for this video in which he pretends to be a post-op supervisor at a surgery center, where he tells patients emerging from unconsciousness after a screening all the weird -- and totally not true -- items found in their colons.

It's a good-natured, and extremely unconventional, way to remind people about the importance of colon cancer awareness.

Vale used keys, 'Three's Company' trading cards, iPhones (among others) and fake X-rays to convince the patients.
