Following two fumbles in his team's loss to the New York Giants, one San Francisco 49ers player faced ridicule and death threats, but a seven year old decided to write him a letter in hopes of making him feel better.

The seven year old, named Owen was crying following the San Francisco 49ers NFC Championship game loss to the New York Giants. Many blamed 49ers receiver Kyle Williams for the loss and after the game, poor little Owen was wailing, "WHY DID HE HAVE TO FUMBLE?!"

Owen's dad asked Owen, "If you're this sad, think of how Kyle Williams feels?" Which caused Owen to pause and ask if he could write Williams a letter. In the letter Owen says,

"We just watched the playoff game. I feel really bad for you, but I wanted to tell you that you had a great season. You should be very proud, so I wanted to say thank you. I am your #1 fan! P.S. You're awesome."

Ben Mankiewicz of the Huffington Post calls young Owen an example of, "What's right with sports fans."

We agree.
