ST. CLOUD -- You can grab your partner and do-si-do on down to the Central Minnesota Farm Show this week.

The show runs Tuesday and Wednesday 9:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. and Thursday 9:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m. at River's Edge Convention Center.

Bernie Quist is the Vice Chair of the event. She says the biggest take away you'll get from the show is meeting others in the industry.

"Often times farmers will say they've learned just as much from another farmer as I can sometimes from a vendor. I think the show promotes that discussion."

The show will also feature seminars on current subjects related to farming. Andy Noble is the event Chair. He says one of the main seminar topics will be on planning for future generations to own your farm.

"They spend a lot of time talking about both the legal aspects and financial aspects so that someone can make that plan ahead of time."

Noble says right now some farm owners are choosing to pass down their farm to the next generation and some are also choosing to sell or get out of the industry. For now, Noble says there isn't a dominant trend on which course farmers are taking.

Other seminar topics include market trends for farming equipment and finding the right equipment for your needs.

Door prizes will also be up for grabs throughout the entire event. Admission to the Central Minnesota Farm Show is free.
