Even though spring is only a few weeks away, central Minnesota's winter parking rules and regulations remain in effect until April 1st. The winter regulations start every year on November 1st and end at the beginning of April. According to St. Cloud's website, if a snow emergency is declared and you're parked in violation of the winter parking rules, you vehicle can be towed in order for the plows to get out and do their job. The same rules apply for; St. Joseph, Sartell, Sauk Rapids and Waite Park.

Yesterday a snow emergency was declared for the St. Cloud are. It looks like the majority of the heavy snowfall is done for this week. We are expecting a few more rounds of light snow on Friday night into Saturday morning.

Even though the weather seems to be under control again, the winter parking restrictions will stay in effect until Easter Sunday. If you have questions about winter parking and restrictions in St. Cloud you can contact the Parking Violations line at 320-255-7209.
