Temperatures will continue to fall this morning as arctic air rushes across the state. By the afternoon, temperatures will have fallen into the single digits in the west and central part of Minnesota, to the teens in western Wisconsin.
A storm system remains on track to move northeast across the region during the Holiday weekend. It continues to look like a wintry mix on Christmas morning will change to rain by afternoon around the Twin Cities as well as points east and south.
The National Weather Service has added the counties of Stearns, Sherburne, and Benton to the Winter Weather Advisory. It will be in effect from 6:00 p.m. Saturday until noon on Sunday. The heaviest snow is expected to fall on Sunday morning.
