The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Storm Watch in effect from late Wednesday night through Thursday afternoon for most of Minnesota -- with heavy snow and blowing snow possible, causing difficult travel conditions.
Christmas hasn't been this cold in St. Cloud in 20 years -- and this year the temperatures will be more of the same all the way to the New Year. Maybe this time around a lump of coal or two wouldn't be the worst thing you could get in your stocking.
A Winter Weather Advisory remains in effect until 3 PM today for much of Central Minnesota. Light snow and gusty winds will continue through the day, with little or no additional accumulation expected.
