Author Niamh McAnally wrote the book "Flares Up" about a pair of men who rowed 3,000 miles across the Atlantic Ocean in 2016. McAnally was present to see to two men achieve their goal after 70 days, 9 hours and 11 minutes.

The construction on the County Road 75 bridge over the Sauk River between Waite Park/St. Cloud and St. Joseph is pushing traffic south onto Stearns County Roads 138 and 121.

The City of St. Joseph has been known for many events over the years including Joe Town Rocks, Rocktoberfest, the Millstream Arts Festival, 4th of July parade, and the St. Joe St. Patrick's Day pub crawl just to name a few.

The 2024 NFL offseason could be an important one for the quarterback position for the Vikings. Star Tribune Sports Columnist Jim Souhan says at this point of the process it is speculation because we don't have any idea what the Vikings are thinking.

The St. Cloud Police Department are reporting a stolen vehicle on the 1500 block of Clearwater Road. Alicia Mages from Tri-County Crimestoppers says it's a silver 2012 Cadillac SRX with tinted windows with Minnesota license WAYNE26.

Gas prices have been on the rise recently but St. Cloud State Economist King Banaian doesn't think that will continue. He joined me on WJON today. He says the reason for the rise in gas prices has to do with an electrical situation that happened at a plant in Indiana which took the biggest supplier of gas in the Midwest offline.

Clearwater is a town in northwestern Wright County with a population of 1,922. It can be accessed on Interstate 94 and Highway 24. The town is 12 miles southeast of St. Cloud, 16 miles northwest of Monticello and 16 miles north of Annandale. To help tell the story of Clearwater I was joined by local historian Elaine Paumen.

The city of St. Cloud has an agreement with a party to purchase the cleared former District 742 Media Services property. St. Cloud Community Development Director Matt Glaesman joined me on WJON. He indicates that project is advancing and describes it as a "great commercial use" for the property.

St. Cloud Cathedral is hosting the St. Cloud Crush tonight but this will be more than just any other game. It will be Cancer Awareness and youth basketball night. The two teams will be honoring former youth basketball coach and Cathedral parent, Jeff Voit.
