Big loss for The Simpsons as the show will be moving on without Harry Shearer.  The 71-year-old announced on Twitter that he is leaving the show.

Shearer is one of the busiest voice actors on the series, lending his pipes to show staples like Ned Flanders, Mr. Burns, Otto, Smithers, Skinner, Rev Lovejoy, Kent Brockman, God and the Devil - just to name a few.

Simpsons show runner, Al Jean said in a statement to the New York Times, "Harry was offered the same deal the rest of the cast accepted, and passed.  The show will go on and we wish him well... We do not plan to kill off characters like Burns and Flanders but will recast with the finest voice talent available."

l don't care how good the voice talent is, that show will not be the same without Shearer.
