Whitney Houston‘s ex husband, Bobby Brown, has expressed frustration over not being able to see their daughter, Bobbi Kristina, often since Houston’s passing. It’s rumored that Brown believes Houston’s family is blocking him from seeing Bobbi Kristina. While he’s not thrilled about it by any means, TMZ reports that he’s also not fighting it directly.Sources close to Brown told the website that Brown wants to be there for his daughter, but he also “doesn’t want to make her situation any more stressful than it already is.” As a result, Brown told close sources that he refuses to make this a legal battle. Brown told one confidante, “This sort of thing, you let the higher power handle.”

Brown’s bad blood with Houston’s family has been a long time brewing, but came to a head when the singer died suddenly on Feb. 11 at age 48. Brown unceremoniously left Houston’s funeral early when his family wasn’t allowed to sit with him during the services. “My children and I were invited to the funeral of my ex-wife Whitney Houston. We were seated by security and then subsequently asked to move on three separate occasions,” Brown said in a statement. “I fail to understand why security treated my family this way and continue to ask us and no one else to move. Security then prevented me from attempting to see my daughter Bobbi Kristina.”

As we previously reported, Houston’s family members are rumored to believe that Brown is simply trying to reach out to Bobbi Kristina because she’s the sole heiress to Houston’s estate.

We sincerely hope Brown, Bobbi Kristina and Houston’s family can overcome their differences. They need each other more now than ever — especially if the rumors about Bobbi Kristina’s substance abuse are true. We wish them well and that they embrace Houston’s memory and bond over how much they loved her, instead of bickering over who loved her the most.
