ST. CLOUD - Big Brothers Big Sisters of Central Minnesota is hosting its annual Magic Moments Gala.

The event is the largest fundraiser the organization holds throughout the year. Money goes to help kids and their mentors.

Central Minnesota BBBS Executive Director, Jackie Johnson, says the Magic Moments Gala helps hundreds of local youth every year.

"It is really important for the community to be supportive of Big Brothers Big Sisters because without the support we would not exist. And we exist to help kids. Last year we helped 758 kids."

The theme to this year's event is "From Little Seeds Grow Mighty Trees"

Johnson says this year's theme captures the spirit of the entire Big Brothers Big Sisters organization.

"From Little Seeds Grow Mighty Trees is the idea that our little's can come to us when their quite young and be matched with a big for many years. We know that by the nurturing of this big and little relationship that the little will grow up more productive."

The emcee for the evening is the co-founder of Top 20 training Willow Sweeney and entertainment includes The Voice's Ashley Dubose.

The event is Friday at 5:00 p.m, in the River's Edge Convention Center
