Governor Mark Dayton is definitely part of the Beyhive. He declared August 8th, 2018, Beyonce and Jay-Z Day in Minnesota. They made a stop on their 'On The Run II' world tour at US Bank Stadium last night, and ahead of the show the governor signed the official proclamation.

This isn't the only day Queen Bey has in our state. She also has May 23rd, which Dayton made her day back in 2016, when she played TCF Bank Stadium on the U of M Campus. The proclamation reads:

“Through their lives and music, Beyoncé and Jay-Z have inspired Minnesotans, and music fans around the world. Now, therefore, I, Mark Dayton, Governor of Minnesota, do hereby proclaim Wednesday, August 8, 2018, as: Beyoncé And Jay-Z Day.”

So while we may only have one day a year to celebrate our birthdays, anniversaries, Thanksgiving, and Christmas, we now will have two days a year to celebrate Beyonce.
