Taylor Swift knew she had a big night ahead of her when she hit BBC Music's the Biggest Weekend, but what was less expected was the off-kilter remark she received after her set.

On Sunday (May 27), the musician stormed the Biggest Weekend stage in Swansea, Wales, to deliver some of her greatest hits, including "Gorgeous," a deep cut from the singer's Reputation album. The 28-year-old — who braved 71-degree weather and 80 percent humidity in a black sequined body suit and bodice — was a bit fatigued and perspiring after the showcase. And reasonably so.

BBC Radio 1 DJ Greg James took notice of her sweaty state and made it a quip in his interview with the star. "It's nice to see you. I think you need to have a shower now," James joked to the "Delicate" songbird, who'd just finished entertaining a crowd of 26,000 fans at Swansea's Singleton Park.

"I agree! And I'm not offended that you said that!" Swift rejoined with a sense of humor. "There’s a lot going on and none of it’s good here!”

While the "Look What You Made Me Do" vocalist took the wisecrack in jest, some of her Swifters did not.

"#TaylorSwift has her first recorded interview after years of not doing them and she's told that she needs a shower... 😑 #BiggestWeekend," one follower wrote on Twitter.

Another tweeted: "And here we see Taylor Swift asking the camera person to help her escape this Greg James interview."
