National Weather Service: Tornado, Downburst Hit St. Cloud Metro
The National Weather Service says it was a weak tornado in Waite Park and a downburst north of Downtown St. Cloud Friday night that did much of the damage in the St. Cloud area.

Thunderstorms and tornado activity ripped through the St. Cloud metro area this evening.
Stearns County Emergency Management Director Marv Klug says there have been no reports of serious injuries so far. The Stearns County Sheriff’s Department is also reporting no injuries so far. But, there’s widespread damage throughout the county.
