I began my professional radio career working nights at KDMA in Montevideo. Then, after a 10 year stint in Redwood Falls working at KLGR, I moved to St. Cloud. Winter Weather Advisory in Effect for Tuesday
The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Weather Advisory until 7:00 p.m. Tuesday. An additional three to five inches of snow is possible in central Minnesota.
Update: Winter Weather Advisory Issued
The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Weather Advisory for Stearns, Benton and Sherburne Counties, and areas to our north. It will be in effect from 1:00 p.m. Monday through 1:00 a.m. Tuesday.

The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Weather Advisory for Stearns and Sherburne Counties. Meanwhile, a Winter Storm Warning has been issued for Benton County, and counties further north.

Brothers Bar in St. Cloud Closed, New Restaurant Coming
Brothers Bar and Grill in downtown St. Cloud is closed. One of the co-owners of the building Doug Boser of Inventure Properties says they decided to end the lease with the Brothers franchise to make way for a new restaurant.
State Troopers Responded to Hundreds of Crashes
Troopers with the Minnesota State Patrol were busy dealing with the snowstorm. As of 10:00 a.m. Tuesday they responded to a total of 353 crashes statewide.
St. Cloud Declares Snow Emergency
The City of St. Cloud has declared a snow emergency. It will go into effect at 12:01 a.m. Tuesday.
Done Deal: City Council Votes to Sell Land for Costco Store
The city will receive just over $3.5 million for the sale of the land. The money from the land sale is being used to buy an additional 49 acres at George Friedrich Park and Talahi Woods, both in southeast St. Cloud.

Grand Casino Mille Lacs to Start Serving Alcohol
Later this week, guests at Grand Casino Mille Lacs will be able to order a glass of beer or wine while they try their luck. Up until now, it has been a dry casino ever since it opened in 1991.
