Kissing. I almost blush when I say the word. How do you know when you're doing it the right way? Whatever feels right? Do left handed people kiss the same way right handed people do? Here are some interesting facts about kissing that I thought you might like to know...(blushing starts now).

A SIMPLE PECK ON THE CHEEK CAN SAVE A LIFE

There is a famous study that showed men who received a peck on the cheek before going to work lived five years longer on average, than those men that didn't. There's been no study done on if the effect is the same on women, but someone needs to find out.

TWO THIRDS OF ALL KISSERS TILT THEIR HEADS TO THE RIGHT

I just realized I'm out of the ordinary. A German researcher studied 100 couples and found that most of them tilted their heads to the right when giving a kiss. The theory? Researchers think this originates in the womb, where most infants tilt their heads to the right....My theory? I wonder if it has anything to do with being left or right handed? I'm a lefty..and I think I tilt my head to the left....I wonder if this throws off the right handed kisser, or if they just learn to adapt?

KISSING IS A SERIOUS WORK OUT FOR YOUR FACE

Here's a fun fact. Kissing involves the Orbicularis Oris muscle. That's what I said. Basically, that's the muscle around your mouth. One kiss requires the use of 146 muscles, including 34 facial muscles, and 112 postural muscles. Now you know something you've never even wondered about. Long story short...It's a serious work out for your face.

Believe it or not, you can make a career out of kissing. The study of kissing is actually called Philematology. If you want to be someone who studies kissing your title would be Osculologist. I wonder...How much kissing is involved in this profession? And would you hate kissing after studying it for 20 years? How do you retire from kissing?
