Animal Kingdom Tries To Take The Preakness Today

The colt who came out of nowhere to win The Kentucky Derby won't be sneaking up on anyone later today in the second run of The Triple Crown. Animal Kingdom is suddenly favored to win The Preakness. If he wins today, he’s set for the third trot, The Belmont Stakes, which is three weeks down the road.

It's been 33 years since Affirmed swept the series to become horse racing's 11th Triple Crown winner.

Dialed In, the favorite from the Derby, is the early 2nd choice at 9-2. There are nine in today’s second Crown pin that didn't run the Derby. Mix 94.9 staffers favorite horse from the Derby, Nehro won’t run, because of a busy schedule in the past few weeks.
