Alessia Cara is “Here” In The Mix With HK

Alessia Cara is the 20 year old Canadian singer/songwriter/multi-instrumentalist who is suddenly everywhere and this weekend she’ll be over “Here” on In The Mix with HK! Here was the first original song Alessia ever wrote and released. It racked up 50,000 plays in 24 hours and elevated to the top 5 on the Billboard Hot 100! Alessia penned that wallflower anthem about a party she attended in her friends basement. She says “I felt small and uncomfortable so I asked my mum to come get me”. Glad she stayed long enough to get the whole experience and change her life forever! Alessia tells us a lot more about how that song came to be and her latest track Scars To Your Beautiful.
