Adele Wins Best Pop Solo Performance at 2012 Grammys

Congratulations, Adele!
The red-lipped Grammys golden girl nabbed her first televised trophy of the night, taking home the 2012 Best Pop Solo Performance award for ‘Someone Like You.’ “I should take my shoes off really,” the British superstar said, laughing sheepishly and perhaps hinting at more victories for later on in the night. Adele launched into a speech thanking everyone who made the track a success. “I want to thank Dan Wilson who wrote this song with me,” she stammered. “This song changed my life. I knew that from the moment I wrote it.”
Adele also thanked the doctors who brought her voice back. We can’t wait to hear it later on in the broadcast!
Adele’s nominated for six Grammys this year. The Best Pop Solo Performance was her second trophy of the night. She was awarded the 2012 Best Pop Vocal Album during the show’s pre-telecast portion. We have a feeling she not only should take off her shoes, but also have a huge purse. She’s going to have plenty to carry home tonight.
