Adam West (Batman) Dead at 88 [VIDEO]

A big part of my childhood died this past Friday. I was a huge fan of the TV show Batman, and even had my mom make my birthday cake in his image. Adam West who played the caped crusader, died after a brief battle with leukemia at the age of 88. Batman debuted in 1966, but only lasted three seasons. It aired twice a week, with a cliffhanger between each week's episodes. Adam kept busy as an actor in the years since the show was canceled in 1968, including voicing the Mayor of Quahog on the TV show "Family Guy."
