As I walked into Hobby Lobby in Waite Park on Saturday evening I was greeted with a wall of fall tones and pumpkin scented items (Exhibit A). I thought it seemed a bit early for it but I figured it was close enough to the end of the month that displays would start being changed out, and I let it slide.

Then as I wandered farther towards the back of the store, I couldn't help but notice the corner of it filled with displays of Christmas decorations, and ACTUAL CHRISTMAS TREES FULLY SET UP. Seriously? Isn't that jumping the gun just a little bit? Do I need to remind you that July is the month that we celebrate the 4th of? As I kept looping throughout the store, there was just more and more Christmas stuff. I get it on the crafting side, some big and high volume projects need to be started now, but who in their right mind is buying and putting up their Christmas tree in early August! Can we please stop trying to rush back into winter? That would be great.
