My Fiance Turns___ Today [PHOTOS / VIDEO]

HAPPY BIRTHDAY BOB!

So the day is finally here. Here is a big Happy Birthday wish for my fiance, Robert Hammer.

IT'S A VERY SPECIAL DAY

A few months ago, the day before we moved into our new home, Bob ruptured his Achilles tendon, and had to have surgery to repair it. He hasn't been able to walk without crutches or a boot since we moved in, but yesterday, the day before his birthday, he finally got the go ahead to start walking. Thank you Dr. Runde from Fairview Medical Center. Bob says he'll never take walking for granted again.

CAKE ANYONE?

Our celebration? A delicious specialty cake is being created for Bob from my friend Sam Switzer from her new local business, BiteSizeMN.com. Bob knows he's getting a cake, but he doesn't know what kind it is.

DINNER FOR TWO? OR FOUR?

I'm not sure where we'll be taking Bob out to eat. If it will be just the two of us, or all four of us? Tanner and Mason were happy to see Bob able to walk yesterday as well. ( I think they may be MORE excited about the Birthday Cake, though).

Bob has a great big heart, and can have a silly sense of humor. Watch this video of us trying to name all of the current dum dum suckers.
