A School District Banned Kids From Playing Tag

A school district in Mercer Island, Washington just banned kids from playing TAG at recess. A spokeswoman says they banned Tag because, quote, "Students are expected to keep their hands to themselves. The rationale behind this is to ensure the physical and emotional safety of all students."

Naturally parents are complaining, because this really does seem absolutely ridiculous. One parent said kids need the opportunity to play whatever they want at recess, because now, quote, "[My son] has been spending most of his recesses wandering around with his friends talking about video games, which is the last thing I want."
