From time to time I see a show or hear music or see a film that moves me to write. I'll try to be funny, but it may just be cynical. Read on if you have a sense of humour and love music, movies and TV. If not, you'll probably get mad.

I wasn't aware I was going to a teen romance film. Love and hormones rage from all sides in this one. Hermoinie's in love with Ron, Ron wants lusty attention and Lavender Brown gives it, Harry and Ginny Weasly flirt and finally smooch... and a gaggle of teen girls plot to ravage the Chosen One with the help of love potions.

Lady GaGa Gets Rock Cred

Suddenly, Lady GaGa seems like a musical genius. Now, I know that couldn't possibly be true. Considering her two big songs are virtually identical. Just Dance and Poker Face are commonly mistaken as the same song. I've even received calls asking for Lady GaGa's Poker Dance. This would explain why we're NOT playing or ever going to play Poker Face on MIX 94.9. That is until a little discovery changed my mind. But first, a little story...

Gangsta's... Midwest Style.

Soooo, Johnny Depp has wowed us with his take on pirates, Willy Wonka, Frankenstein (Edward Scissorhands), and Icabod Crane. I have to admit I'm a big Depp fan and obviously I've seen most of his movies. So I had to catch Public Enemies on opening night.
