I don't care if my family judges me, I'm gonna eat three pounds of stuffing tomorrow and feel great about myself. But if you DON'T want to end up in a food coma on Thanksgiving, check out these four tips to help save some calories... and your waistline.

According to this story from "Today", which was conducted by Cornell University... you will eat at least TWO-THOUSAND-CALORIES on Thanksgiving and that could easily DOUBLE if you go back for seconds and thirds.

So, if you want to save yourself from a food coma this Thanksgiving, here are some tips to help you out.

1.  Eat breakfast.  And if you're doing a late Thanksgiving, have lunch too.  A lot of people fast all day, and feel like it means they can gorge themselves at dinner.  But chances are you'll take in MORE calories that way, not less.

2.  Drink water before you sit down to eat.  That way your stomach already feels full.  And don't drink too much alcohol before dinner, because it causes your body to produce a hormone that specifically makes you crave foods high in fat.

3.  Fill half your plate with vegetables, and eat them first.  You'll still feel full when you're done eating, but it won't be because you ate too much turkey.  It'll be because you ate too much of something that's really GOOD for you.

4.  Don't treat it like it's your last meal on Earth.  For some reason, we act like Thanksgiving dinner is our one chance a year to stuff ourselves.  And just changing that mindset can help you eat less.
